Any news from yesterday's camp at Gately Stadium? I think they are in Barrington today. I expect to hear in the next two weeks of about 6-10 commits with all the buzz surrounding the camps, especially out of Texas.

Some new names are popping up, but don't expect 6-10 commits in the next few weeks. Lovie won't take a player just to take one. They're gonna take their time, and study said player.

How do those camps work? Invite only, open attendance, fees involved?

Pretty sure there is no relation

It says in the article that there is no relation. Speaking of Iowa recruits - what about AJ Epenesa? He was the first kid that Lovie started following on Twitter. Wonder if there has been any follow up to that.

It was noted at the bottom of the article that the kid apologized for making that story up and that there is no relationship with Tommie Harris

I was hoping to see some more articles on the satellite camp. Participants, who stood out, etc. Kind of like the aau tournaments in basketball or camps. Obviously the Iowa commit stood out but I havent seen anything else. I hope we at least get good coverage for the out of state camps.

There was pretty good premium coverage. Besides for the few kids that were mentioned in headlines, the state of Illinois is pretty blah for uncommitted talent in 2017.

Got ya, thanks. I am newer to the football side of the board. I love Illini football and watch every single game but never been really involved in recruiting because Illinois never seems to have a chance at the 4's and 5's. Now that the Lovie ERA is here, that is changing my mind set big time.

Eli Peters transferring to Toledo, so that will open up another scholarship for 2017.
