I spent like two hours today randomly watching 2007 highlights. It was awesome watching those caliber athletes play. It's clear momentum is shifting our way. Pumped for the future of Illini football

Average player score on Scout now up to 3.20, Illinois' highest ever. Very excited to see the talent coming into the lines - I think that's the best predictor of future success.

According to some of the recruiting sites this is one of the best class ever. But there seems to be some grade inflation, because other schools like NU have similar scores currently. I'm not sure I'm willing to say these classes are more talented or nearly talented as Zook's 2006-2009. There were a ton of NFL and great college players during that period. Unfortunately it appears the coaching or team concept didn't match the individual talent. We had one very good year during that period.
