We are in the beginning stages of a rebuild. No jucos please. Keep the young'ns coming in, redshirt when we can, and develop.

Maybe playing so many freshmen will make an impact. Most guys want to get on the field asap.

QB MJ Rivers (C/O 2018) and RB DJ Smith (C/O 2019) of Frisco Lone Star are visiting this weekend.

It's interesting that we're pursuing another QB for this class.

Lovie said before Avery committed that the class was where he wanted it to be heading into the season and since then we've had three commits. Since we're currently at 14 commits that means we will probably only be adding 3-6 more players. I honestly thought they'd want to wait and see Senior film on players before pursuing anyone else. I'm guessing we want at least one more OL and two more WRs. Beyond that we have the long shot recruits (Ford, Perkins and Craddieth).

Nikko Hall is still a real possibility, trying to get him back on campus for an OV.
We have a legitimate shot at Hall, Craddieth, Ford, and I think we'll be in it with each until the end. I'll be happy with any 1 of the 3 & most likely that's what we'll get:chief:

The MJ Rivers visit is interesting because of the implications of Illinois wanting a commitment from him. Is Lovie thinking about converting one of these guys to another position? Are there academic concerns with Taylor or Littlejohn?

There have been rumblings of academic issues with Coran Taylor, but nothing concrete. I hope it isn't true as I am excited to see Taylor suit up for the Illini.

was this before or after the coaching change?

He committed to UT within the last year, so current staff. I also think he committed to ut like the day after he visited Illinois. Could be mistaking him for someone else though.

Taylor is athletic, but so is Rivers... & he's smarter.

Anybody have the list of players that visited last night?

I saw twitter mentions for:

Ayodele Adeoye
Tyler Nubin (2019)

Looks like MJ Rivers also visited (and some crystal ball movement on him to Illinois).

I guess the drama of Texas first game this year has him thinking about maybe he should go to a coaching staff that actually knows what they are doing

As a person living in Austin, watching them get owned by a B1G team was extremely satisfying. Even more of it cause him to flip.
