With Norwood as a verbal commit right now and this Drake Anderson kid coming for an OV.

I thought McGee wanted bigger backs in “his system”?

Norwood is 5’10 170 and Anderson is 5’11 180. Those aren’t big backs at all.

McGee visited A 6’1 255 Kid last name Branch last week I believe. Werner also did a quick article on how “McGee wants Big bodied backs in his system”

Having hard time connecting the dots...

Norwood is Lamar Jackson's cousin. This is the connection that he has to McGee and why he was offered and committed so early in the process, IMO. What he does have is blazing speed although he wasn't even the #1 running back on his high school team this year. I think he will be used as a specialist RB that gets a maximum of 10-12 carries a game. He should be red shirted and needs to gain 20 lbs but who knows if the staff will give him that year to get bigger?

Do they want to use Branch as an FB or as an RB on 3rd and short situations? I wouldn't mind seeing an FB come in and challenge Roberts as I don't think Roberts had a very good year at all. I know the FB is sometimes a walk on, but I don't see anyone on the roster who really excels in that role.

I'm not sure what to make of Anderson. He missed all of his Junior year and had a big Senior season which is why he was off the radar for most schools, inc, using his dad's alma mater. I was surprised to see us go after another RB in this class but they must have really like what they saw of his Senior film.

Avery is talking about waiting now or last thing I heard was he was going to wait, so who know

Him and Brown would be Huge for the DL and OL maybe of if green moves over to Center

I had heard that Avery would not sign until February as well. It would be a relief if he signs in a couple of weeks. If he doesn't sign but Myers does, I think that will keep him committed through February.

I would think the goal would be to get everyone to sign December 20-22. I'm not sure why we would not want a kid to sign then unless there are grade concerns? It will be interesting to see what happens with this early signing period.

There's also been lots of rumors about Hardge taking official visits in January.

The Duo of Dorsey and Barker at TE is one I’m pretty interested in seeing them when Dorsey is a JR and Barker is a So. Could be a heck of a TE pairing.

I'd be more excited about Barker if his highlights showed him blocking anyone. It appeared to me that his high school used him exclusively out of the slot.

It's apparent that these kids are very talented but they need to add weight and improve their blocking. They should be amazing in 2019 but I can't imagine either one getting much bigger by September. This means Walker will probably have to be utilized quite a bit.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing Dorsey moved out to the slot as a taller WR next year.

I see Echard has been included in a lot of the Senior videos and he was introduced on Senior day so I'm guessing he will not apply for a 6th year? That's too bad because we could really use him next year. I can understand why he would want to move on with his life, however.

I can see Branch playing both FB and RB, at least to start off with just to get him time on the field

I think the main reason for the other 2 is they are not happy with anyone else as a RB besides the 2 FR and we saw both them get hurt so we need to add depth. I also look at it more they are just trying to add speed any place they can find it

Not sure what the odds are with any of them, but Illinois probably needs to land one of these safety recruits (Guessing the staff would love to get two of them):

Dallas Craddeith (STL)
Andre Cisco (IMG)
Dayven Coleman (Dallas Metro area)

I'm not sure what is going on with his recruitment but we also offered Kevyon Davis last month:

I think we're recruiting Coleman as a Nickel/OLB.

100% of Craddeith crystal balls pointing to Iowa :tsk:
100% of Cisco crystal balls pointing to Syracuse :tsk:
4 of 6 Coleman crystal balls pointing to :chief:

Minny just got even bigger and talented last night. Two very good and huge commits up front.
