I was naturally expecting something negative, was pleasantly surprised.

Verdis is a Chicago kid so I am going to assume it has to do with the Phillips Academy players

2 of the 3 Phillips kids look like they're going to pop soon. That said, Brown's tweet may have more to do with the big game we're after. Definitely think having 2 of his friends/teammates aboard is going to help us with Billingsley. Hopefully, a whole lot.

So I'm guessing this is the first time ever that big name recruits seem to be wanting to be offered or check out Illinois. Guys with top ten and top three lists seemingly wanting offers. If any of this turns into commits it will be a fun time to be a fan!

I haven't followed closely for long, but I can say that it seems this way. Having Illinois come in and get a verbal from a kid that didn't have us in the top 3 or 10 would make us seem more like a blue blood. Skipping recruitments until the end and swooping in to secure the commitment would be awesome to watch.

Especially considering our loooong history as a recruiting non-entity. This group very well could be the transition class we need. Start turning it around on the field and it could be glorious. That's the fever dream, anyway.

Was hoping all the momentum would lead to Williams committing already tho, keep the pressure on.

Really think Williams is in the fold, just hasn't announced yet. He should be able to announce on his own terms. Am expecting that to be during or shortly after his OV.

Anyone have insight into the temperature of the columns today?
I understand they were cool early this morning, but once the sun started shining on them they have gradually increased in temperature, aided by some tweets to the north and southwest.

I have only heard/read statements that seem like Isaiah is a lock. Which is great. But if he is, it would be best for all parties involved to commit publicly to help get a better recruiting class. I am sure he would like to come in with the best class possible. And although he may have already have told his Trinity teammates, it is the guys like Jaquaze Sorrells and Jahleel Billingsleys that need to see the commitment to REALLY consider IL a possibility.
