Is it possible that the staff in thinking about converting some of these running backs to linebackers? I remember several years ago we lost to a school and the announcers said that almost all of their defensive players were running backs in high school.

I think the staff is getting speedy guys that can make plays. Something we lacked during the cubit era. My guess is that these guys are being recruited for their position, but they will be utilized in any way that maximizes our chance of winning. Right now we lack depth and talent/experience at a few positions. I think both guys have speed and grit, and that is something we can’t have too much of.

well his offer list doesn't impress. Not saying this kid is a nobody. But a low 3 star RB from IL? I am just saying, I am not gonna expect him to be the next Epstein

I agree with it being unfair to set unreasonably high expectations... but wow is that film good. No idea how good he will be, but he does move in a strikingly similar fashion to Epstein in terms of speed, where he carries the ball, and his gait/stride.

Again, none of that means he will be as good as him. It's just the clear player comparison to make. Huge fan of the playmakers of this recruiting class so far.

Fedanzo's highlights makes him look like a bigger than 6' runner. But then, I just got done watching the Cumby highlights so my eyeballs might be a bit skewed.

This has nothing to do with Brock. The domino was Vincent Davis committing to Pitt last week. I think Fedanzo is better than Brock.
Meh...I won't engage in the 4* vs 3* argument and bigger offers (Notre Dame & Mich St for Brock) making Brock better. I've seen them both live and direct a couple of times last year. Fedanzo is faster, but Brock shiftier and harder to bring down. I call push IMO. Fedanzo is underrated.

Quinyon Mitchell picks Toledo after Illini Visit last weekend. Many thought he was on board

I think Fabian McCray is next to pop. Might want to jump on board before Massey. Excited too to see an OV set for Oct for Jacob Bandes (top 100 DT).

Ya I would say he is a long shot considering the circumstances. BUT it may be showing that Hardy and Clark are starting to make some headway

I thought that dude was gonna commit like 2 months ago. Nothing wrong with enjoying his recruitment. But I'd like us to put some pressure on him. Crap or get off the pot

Welcome, Nick!

Yes, Montini has been a powerhouse, but DeKalb High School beat them last year, finally..

By the way, what's up with Dre Brown, Illini RB, DHS grad and probably once was a greater prospect than some recent recruits? Go Barbs!

Don’t think he practiced this spring. Coach Smith was on Saturday sports line on WDWS yesterday he hementikned they were counting on him this season. Epstein didn’t practice either.
