I've linked Jeremy Werner's update regarding the 2 PWO commitments and the visitors for this weekend. There is one quote from BB included that says everything to me about how this is going to be different (certainly) and better (almost certainly) from the Lovie Smith years: "I think we were the first school I think in Division-I football to send out invites. We did that to get ahead of the curve." Lovie would just be stirring in the middle of his off-season nap.

He would be checking out the transfer portal and hiring himself as OC too.
A second CB for Malachi Hood this morning from Ryan Easterling.
That often perplexed me. We were always the last school to rack up recruits. The posters on this board had said Lovie did not control his own narrative. Proved it more than once with his coaching staff. One other thing . . . I watched all the videos of Lovie's pressers and comments, and it always seemed like pulling teeth to get him to answer a question. With BB, his narrative is like a breath of fresh air. I really think this year's team is going to be the talk of the B1G.

Can't imagine how it feels for the players, especially the guys on D. Get to mix things up and try to confuse the offense and play fast. What a concept!
We used to have a few good ones and they left for coaching and other reasons. Overall the football board has been pretty dead.
Mhuml and Stuemcke /spelling are my go toos, whitshox24 also.

There’s football recruiting going on?
Not much news about the visits other than the typical they are going well. I will say kids are happy to be able to go visit campuses again as are the coaches. This staff really gets it when it comes to connecting to gets and making each visit personal and special to the kid. Staff is excited to have kids back as well. This staff is relentless on the trail and that’s spearheaded by HC BB (the complete opposite of the previous staff). Also I wouldn’t be as worried about the WR position with IW being out there now.
