And the competition is more on par with where things should be! Baer has a very nice list of schools in his final 5!! I do think we're taking steps forward.

Clips of Baer remind me of myself getting pancaked by Sean Bubin from Rantoul back in the day. Hope we can snag him!

I looked up Hollins and saw no stars. But if a guy is running a sub 4 at a camp you would think he would at least get 3 stars. Maybe I am late to the show. He does have good size and is an athlete from the south. Would be a good pick up at wide rec.

Several of our commits were no stars. Only means that they weren't rated yet. All of them were given 3 stars in their initial ranking.

If Hollins' speed reports are true, our offer is a no-brainer.

Baer the huge OL would be a great get for the program. Type of kid our Coach landed regularly at Wisconsin.

When you keep wondering how the staff can take more and more offensive line recruits but they offensive line recruits are the highest ranked recruits by the recruiting websites....

Badie is the recruit that I thought would be a no-brainer for Lovie's staff (athletic in-state LBer) that never was seriously recruited or seriously considered Illinois. BB getting guys like him would be an enormous plus.

Getting guys like Badie/Pugh/Brown/Laughery/Bostick are so important for local optics but also for cutting off the recruiting supply for schools like Iowa and Minnesota to climb the B1G West standings (in the future).

Truth. Those guys are a tier above the kids who have committed thus far. If we can get those guys (beyond Pugh), that would be meaningful, on and off the field.

Just to be crystal clear, when I say "a tier above", I'm referring solely to ratings.*

* - Ratings are far from scientific. Take them with a big grain of salt.

Not great news: 2 CBs each for Bostick and Laughery (Squawk guy & Trieu).
