Werner has posted a few names of recruits that will be there. Feagin (top priority in 2023), Tyler Gant (2023 DT from STL), and Tony Phillips (2024 from Kankakee).
Saw that he also posted today that 2023 Montini Catholic (Lombard) RB Joshua Robinson will be in attendance. 247 has him listed at 6-2, 210.

any word on how the weekend went with recruiting? nice to have a win and look like a competent team with so many in attendance

A lot of 2023/24 recruits so I'm guessing the focus wasn't on getting new commitments. Had to be a successful weekend with so many of them at the game and the on-field product looking promising.

Big lad too. Made for Bert Ball.

I just can't emphasize how much this possibility means to me. Because of Jerry Jone hatred and a dislike of the NFL the last 10 years, on top of the dumpster fire of an Illinois program...I have completely dismissed football for a long time.

If BB turns this program into a more exciting version of his Wisc smash mouth road grader teams....I will fall in love with football again.

Please let this happen.

I want one of dem road graters! :D

Agreed, Jones is the epitome of a tool.

:ROFLMAO:

After "horse" (hoarse)...and now this...lmao

Clearly thinking of cheese.....
Grater vs. Grader….I’m not sure I want to see my municipal workers using the former, but in a Power-Running Back it might be a sight to see!

We have gone from transfer Wes Lunt (14, 15,16) to walk-on Jeff George Jr (17) to transfer Brandon Peters (18, 19, 20, 21) to transfer Arthur Sitkowski (21, probably 22 and 23). Any chance there is a quarterback recruited as a freshman in our future?

I'd strongly bet that we're taking a HS QB in the Class of '23.

I assume you mean is there a starting QB in our future who we signed as a freshman, because I’d guess we’ve signed at least one QB in every class since Lunt arrived. Who knows with the transfer portal a way of life in college football. I would say if BB brings about the turnaround that we hope for that the chances increase. Not like we’ve been bringing in 4 star after 4 star.

247 now has us getting a visit from 2022 3 start safety, Elijah Davis from FL. Currently rated #940 in the class. Has several P5 offers but not sure how active any of them are. Previously visited Iowa St. Will be visiting us for Rutgers game.
I'm sure other names will pop up, but besides Selah Brown, looks like the only other 2022 recruits we're going after hard are DBs, which makes sense since we don't have any commitments yet at that position. Hopefully we can snag a few.
