Pretty happy Bielema is our coach after watching what others will do for attention. Yikes.
I think cringe-worthy is better. I CANNOT believe that SOMEONE in the production room didn't mumble... "well, maybe this is not a good idea...". The recruit? Mrs Kelly? The recruit's family? Anyone under the age of 25? If you want a good laugh, go read the comments underneath the video on twitter. The savage humor in Twitterverse is unmatched on this one.

Also makes me think that maybe my dance moves are not so bad after all...

Ok, based on 247 article, he is another Blue Shirt. Which is fine. What I like is he is a DB. It seems like we have been lacking in adding recruits that were/are DB's. Maybe I am wrong, since I am married I am always wrong.

Does anyone know how we are looking for DB's for next years class? Well and LB's, and DE's, and etc...

That's pretty cool.

And 6A champions? That area really has grown in last 20 years.
Rivals has him listed as 6-4, 190, pro style QB, but interestingly the one Hudl tape I looked at contained as many if not more rushing TDs as passing for him. I couldn’t tell much from the tape, but like to see another IL guy on the team.

What is a Blue shirt?

The tight end is vital in the NFL, but most teams in college do not. a prime example of a tight end not being used in college is Dawson Knox of the Bills. He went to Ole Miss and didn't catch one touchdown pass in college. He had 9 this year with the Bills. He is an absolute stud and if that coaching staff were still at Ole Miss, that should be enough to fire them on the spot!

Long-time lurker (decades?) and finally decided to go active. I know there are a couple other Cary-area guys on here, wanted to comment on Sheehan's commit. Lived here 21 years and both kids graduated from CG. Does Robert give Tom Cruises to PWOs? ;-)

Size of school: 6A / 7A border, depending on what schools make the playoffs in a given year. Usually end up top of 6A.
STRONG football program - 6 title game appearances since 2004 (3-3). Sun-Times named them top overall team last year after win over ESL (all classes).
They run a triple-option offense, which is why you see all the rushing TDs and few passing TDs. CG rarely throws.
Given that, I cannot see Sheehan as an Illini QB in BB's offense. Will be interested to see where he ends up playing.
After football, CG's biggest contribution is to your stomach, alumnus:

Thanks for weighing in and welcome! I saw his stats and thought he didn't seem like fit, but obviously he wants to be here. Are there many D1 athletes coming out of that program where Bielema might be trying to just build a connection?

I used to attend all the games (at least 1st half, daughter in the marching band), half time scores regularly 35-3, and such. They used to run an RPO when they won state in 2018. But most years, clearly a run focused offense.

Usually they will have someone that can play D1. Though, I found it amazing that CG looks like a frosh team in size, compared to a lot of their playoff opponents. However, once the game starts, they generally do very well. It seems that either CG or Prairie Ridge (conference rival) go to state every year from this area.
