Yes, this is importance for today. No one is defending a string of commits by saying "trust the staff". It's several recruits with excellent offers, including some recruits being heavily prioritized by other coaching staffs.

Wow, great news! I think I speak for most Illini fans when I say that the INCREDIBLE improvement in coaching the past few years has been an astonishing breath of fresh air ... and all that was missing (or at least "behind") was recruiting momentum. This is awesome!! I have not been this excited for football since after the Rose Bowl season.

Can’t recall too many UI recruitments in recent memory where we were in it with national powers besides IWilliams. Feels very Zookian. Recruiting is really where we need momentum and it seems like BB is making some decent headway there. Hopefully a sign of some good recruiting wins to come.

this is a very nice uptick in recruiting over the previous 15-18 years. some really good instate guys and talented ones from out of state as well - and from areas we have not traditionally done well in

He's saying with Orr and Williams. Right now, Orr doesn't have a composite score and is zeroed out. Williams would move us up to 35th (123.87) if it happens, and considering where Orr is graded out for in 24/7 I believe mhuml is correct, and would put us 30th or 31st overall. Wild stuff.

So in the two previous classes, Illini signed 1 player 24/7 lists as DL. In the 2024 class, we now have verbals from 3 such players. Love that BB and Co finally have hit on some. And ones with national rankings of 481, 784 and 900. Very nice indeed.
