Just know Illinois and Rutgers pretty much offered the day he entered and at Rutgers today. Guess was hoping he would commit if had a great time but can't blame the young man for being thorough with his options. Definitely need another DT and he fits the bill

Purdue has 21 players who have entered the portal. That's a big number and comparable to teams that are experiencing a coaching change (IND - 25, MSU - 23). Illini have seven players in the portal by comparison. Could be a reflection of the Purdue roster talent assessment and/or player dissatisfaction with the coaching staff. Not good for Walters either way.

How many transfers out did Purdue have last year? Also, I don’t think the number was that high, but anyone know how many transfers out BB had after his first year and how that compared to prior to season 1.
Agreed likely not a good thing for Walters, but could just be him building the roster he needs. Now if he had 20 out last year and 20 out next year, certainly an issue. But I’m sure Purdue fans are freaking out.
