Could be as simple as the targeted prospects this year are willing to commit early, but it's reaaaally intriguing to me that the staff is intentionally moving to an earlier timeline to lock down a portion of this recruiting class.

With NIL, you are consistently recruiting a smaller class than pre-2019. Taking less recruits, but also locking in more of them early, is an interesting change. What does it mean? Don't know!

I think it means if you're recruiting a kid who you believe is "good enough" and said kid is ready to commit, you take him

Is he even 15 years old? #babyface
I think that might be three kids in a trenchcoat

Yep, I started at UIUC when I was 17. Didn't turn 18 till November of frosh year. Drinking age was 18 and I STILL couldn't go to the bars (not that it stopped me)!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
I didn't turn 18 until winter break of freshman year...

2022: Whitenack, Crisler, Moller, Okla, Leonard, (Adams)
2023: Henderson, Schuster, Leys, McMillen, Aamland
2024: Davis, Wigenton, Priestly, Dennis, Hansen
2025: Rousseau, McDonough . . .

Does the consensus think that the raw talent in Bielema's four classes is a notch higher than the previous four classes?

In terms of raw talent, definitely yes. Whether we can develop them into good linemen, we shall see

Not sure the portal transfers make it apples to apples vs. the prior 4 classes given how the portal has evolved. Take those out and it's an ok list. Dennis was a huge pull, but the rest are mostly developmental guys. That said, when comparing to Lovie's last few OL classes, most posters here could do better
