Lovett are the recruiting battles the staff needs to start winning 6-10x /year. 10+ D1 offers, 5+ P4 offers. Solid start. If you can get another couple of recruits like Boyd and Lovett before you start the June recruiting blitz, things could be looking really good.

Trimble, Brooks, Kaminski and Dowell are all huge. These are the type of kids we need to get

NAACP just came out and recommended black athletes to reconsider attending Florida schools based on the governor's removal of DEI programs. I feel like this could have an impact on football, especially with our inroads in Florida. Even a small shift to non-Florida schools could make a difference. Do insiders have any sense if our program is going to up the recruiting ante in Florida?

Kinda doubt Florida football players come to Illinois because of our DEI program, but I’ll take it if they do.

I'm sure this conversation will stay on the rails.... I agree, but I would say it's possible that you will see small differences from families where DEI is that important that will lean to other programs. It's not so much of a benefit for Illinois - but schools like SEC programs in areas that aren't going to be as harsh on those political landscapes might get a little more attention from a handful of recruits. That said, I would be shocked if it's a difference maker.

No new crystal balls, hmmmm. Cameron Brooks? Seems unlikely because he set an OV with KU last week.

I see 2 players from Florida that has us as high interest. I'm going to say the CB from Seminole High School.
