Our linemen are strong. The issue is they are slow off the ball and have poor balance. It also makes it a lot harder to block when you have to move to a silent count and everyone in the stadium knows the play call is a pass.
They were getting up the field to fast for screens or traps to work.

What we needed to was more 12 personnel and have the 2 te in blocking.
Maybe we should have tried The Barge for a series or two? 🤷🏼‍♂️ (I’m about to get abused aren’t I?)

Someone commented on Twitter during the game that if this coaching staff had the 2009 roster they'd win 9-10 games easily. We've got the coaching now to hang with tough teams, but over 4 quarters the talent differential stacks up. For as much as Bielema as been a win in the trenches type of coach it's clear that our lines need a MASSIVE talent upgrade.
When we had commitments from Andrew Dennis and that Center who flipped to Auburn, I thought we would be in a little better shape, but alas both are gone.

so who are the real flip candidates here? gotta imagine our success should turn some heads, at least consideration wise. would be even better if we can hold it.

Right now it’s an unknown. There was a LB that de-committed from Cal a week or two ago and Illinois was one of his finalist.

You only see the blue bloods or schools like Miami with big NIL $$ that publicly chase other committed players. The 90% other programs try to keep things quiet.
