I wanna take out NIL bank loan in the millions for "27", running back Myson Johnson Cook. Formally of Decatur MacArthur high school. Now Desoto TX sophomore average 20 yards a carry in Texas 6A and still making defensive players look like 1A competition. We sorely need a back like Rutgers and Penn St..

I was thinking that Miles McVay still isn’t starting for Alabama. Illinois could get him if he enters the portal and they could have 3/5 of the 2021 East St Louis offensive line (McVay, Henderson, Priestley) all starting for Illinois. Somehow that ESL team, who also had top 10 pick Luther Burden, did not win the state title that year. They lost in the finals to Cary-Grove by 1 point.

Complimentary football. CG ran the ball and sustained drives. They are a program that’s always fundamentally sound. They also made some huge plays in that game like the onside kick and 2 point conversion. Obviously esl had a lot more talent but it’s all about the match ups

This recruitment was odd from the beginning. Seemed disinterested in local options, good blue blood offers but never visited, then commits to a team with an awful offense three years running, and rough recent history of WRs. Its still an SEC school and Stoops has done wonders turning them around, but just an odd recruitment.

Do the Illini get a look from Nebraska washout WR (former 5-star) Malachi Coleman and Alabama OL Miles McVay? Both guys would be delivered by former blogger turned agent Clint “A$AP Cozzy” Cosgrobe who has sent a few guys to Illinois….

It's almost sickening how easily other football programs pick over our State and we're stuck with the leftovers. I have a feeling things are a changing though. I-L-L BABY!!!

it is sickening. but its quite understandable too. highly coveted kids are virtually always gonna spurn a doormat, regardless of being the in-state school. fortunately, Coach B has us emerging from the dark ages

I would guess McVay would end up at Mizzou.

Very weird recruitment. It’s scary to think how good that esl team would be if they still had miller, Boyd and Reyes

Lose is an Iowa legacy and was also going there. We never offered Fitzgibbon. His sister is on the gymnastics team here. Terrance smith and the kid from Loyola also never got offered. Fitzgerald is going to Iowa as a walk on qb.

Burke and cooney are the only ones we missed out on

Is Coleman no loner on Nebraska? Wasn’t sure what wash out means.

(a) I would have interest in Coleman but I'm not sure either side is the best fit for the other. Illinois is going to be looking for a sure-fire starter. Coleman is likely wanting a clear path to playing time.

(b) I would have more interest if Coleman wants to change to edge. I've been a believer in him as an NFL guy at DE.
