Same here. Kid looked like a stud coming out of high school with that leg, just needed some weight on him. Thought he'd be pushing the upperclassmen this year even if he wasn't starting. Wonder what happened.
He’s dyslexic and therefore accidentally only worked out his non-punting leg.

Essentially what will happen with the "leveling of the playing field" is a 3rd party will monitor NIL deals. They are trying to ensure that the compensation for the deals match the advertising I guess is a good way to put it. Essentially a kid can't do one commercial for 2 million dollars.
Let's hope it has a better track record than the other third party that was regulating eligibility to level the playing field. I think it was called the NCAA, if I remember correctly.

Not thrilled about that one. I thought he would be our #1 punter the next couple of years.
Me too. I remember following his recruitment and being really excited when we got him. I assumed he would be the starter following his first season and possibly sooner than that.
Do any insiders know what happened with this one? I don't see how someone who went to all the high profile kicking camps and was regarded by some as the top punter in the nation his last year at El Paso, could be 3rd string on our team.

He was the 3rd string punter, maybe worse.

Must be tough to project punters as recruits Screenshot 2024-12-09 at 6.40.35 PM.png🤷‍♂️

335 can’t be healthy for any 15 year old. On 247 they list him at 355

This season it seemed like it, but I get the questions because this is a kid who came out of high school supposedly able to consistently punt for over 50 yds with just about a 5 second hang time. I mean there were good reasons he was rated so highly coming out of high school.

I'd think most people would understand if this was more about him expecting to start this year and didn't get the chance and is unhappy about it than he all of a sudden is not a good punter. Or that he got a substantial offer from someone else. Different position and case obviously, but if you get the #2 QB or RB recruit in the nation, and they leave after a year and the fans are told it's because they aren't good, it's going to raise some eyebrows. I don't think it's odd fans are going to be asking questions about this one. Just saying.
