We’re going to take 2 tackles. One JC Davis type where he will be a no doubt starter and then Mcvay. Priestly gives you the ability to take a gamble on a guy like Mcvay….if he lives up the hype great you move Priestly inside and have Gesky and Henderson battle it out for the other guard spot.
What a different world we're living in as Illini football fans if this happens. LOVE the chance to have two solid players battle it out for a spot.

Would take anyone at this point to push Gesky. He has been god awful for two straight years.

I actually agree with you...he gets a lot of praise that I haven't seen any validation for. He is OK at pass pro, but in the run game he is weak at the point of attack and stands straight up not driving his opponent. His run game is everything I would not want to see as an OL coach and Bart continuing to trot him out there has made me cool my opinion of him.

On the opposite end of the spectrum I liked hunter whitnacks physicality, but he was too slow off the ball to get many good blocks in the run game and his feet were covered in cement in pass pro.

If you don’t order the triple, just go home! My 7th grade math teacher was Mr. Krekel. Direct relation.

I still remember watching Krekel smash the hamburger balls on the other side of the glass on Wood St. This was before they bought the Dairy Maid across from Nelson Park Golf Course (gone, I know). But, La Gondola is also worth a trip down memory lane. Two best memories of my youth about Decatur next to working at Fairies Park Golf Course under Ritchie Hammel and playing golf with Penny Hammel against her brother Lee and Ritchie.
Dang dude. La Gondola brings back many memories. I was more of a Hickory Point Golf course kid due to where I lived but played Sun n Fun 9 hole par 3 course every day in the summer.
Sad to hear Nelson Park course is no longer.
I remember the Hammels well!!
