Clement looks like a good size WR who can catch in traffic. Very nice pick-up, would like to see Elzy break out and play more. Maybe he will be granted a 5th year, he should have redshirted.

to be truthful, Im not being a smart a$$, recruiting is fluid - it never stops and it never starts - its a circle , its not linear
that said, hard to imagine there is much NIL left at this point for that WR room

I am going to guess after the bowl game that we magically had more NIL money appear so who knows how many position rooms that will cover?

Guessing it was a bit tough for Clement to leave WVU, he's from Martinsburg. Came to the WVU as a walk-on I think. Couldn't keep him off the field. Lanky, wide catch radius, definitely of the Pat Bryant/Zakhari Franklin mold.

81-inch wingspan is an eye-catcher. I couldn't find any videos for this season but last season he was their middle linebacker. This is the type of recruit that builds a lot of offers over the summer because of his frame and length.

I was thinking about that wingspan with the Ball State transfer... Dude looks like he can pluck footballs out the sky lol!

hope he can turn into an ace recruiter for us before he spreads his wings

I wouldn't think Beatty is gone based off of how much he established himself late in the year, and there's a clear spot for him next year in that slot.

I hope Elzy ain't going anywhere.

I think Beatty likes the staff and they like him. He’s an academic all-B1G student-athlete. The U of I degree means something to him. I also think he knows the 2025 season could include a special connection with Altmeyer…and a special season for the Illini.
Guess anything could happen, but I’d be shocked if Beatty isn’t in the Orange and Blue.

I wonder why he left W.V. I suppose $$ is one possibility. Is it also possible that we are one of “those” teams now, where players transfer because they want to win? If so, my mind is confused by this sudden change.

Not sure I’d go that far, but he was more productive than PB was his first year. Hope you’re right.

meant literally- good size, seemed to run good routes and have sure hands with small sample size. would love his production to be even remotely close to PB
