Shows how important bowl games still are to recruits. Most people thought we’d get waxed by the hottest SEC team….but we shocked many by showing we were the better team.

Making the Gameday Crew look like schmucks was a great win on its own, but obviously recruits took notice nationally. It feels “solid” too…not like a castle built on sand, but on solid rock. Love it!

Providence is right by LWE. I’m sure they will also stop there
yup
my mom lives 3 miles away from there. LW Central (New Lenox) is 3 miles east of Providence and LWE (Frankfurt) is another 5 miles or so east of Central
Providence was quite the program in the 1980's -early 2000's. They were in the Private School League in the 1970's (my school was as well) and they dominated.
There was a time when they would produce one or two D1 kids year (but dont ask me to name any in football) Not sure what has happened (maybe just the LW schools getting real good or competition from catholic league schools somewhat "near" there : Joliet or Marist) , but Providence as a program has fallen from the top lately .

The general area there is still a football and baseball hotbed
We may have an eye on a '26 or '27 lad, or maybe Dre just pressing the flesh with the coach there. Providence was ND territory way back in the day

Kids from that area (far south suburbs) can literally drive to Champaign in about 100 minutes

Aren’t those emojis concerning or am I misinterpreting them?

Yes, . . . and Bret Bielema's t-bar gesture still rocks!

Agree, let’s not forget how valuable the press (good and bad) from the shenanigans between the coaches was. It certainly extended the buzz and rewatching of the game. The amount of hot takes in print and tv has to be rewarding to the program.
Just saw Coach B got a shout out in today's (season finale) SEC Shorts (go to 1:26 if you don't want to watch the whole thing)
