- how was I to know, she was with the Russians too?
thinking the most likely kid to commit this weekend is Jacksonville LB Tony Williams (yeah, I think we're taking another LB)
Kid looks like the villain in an 80's ski resort teen comedy, and for that reason, want.
Him being from Barrington is just absolutely perfect.Kid looks like the villain in an 80's ski resort teen comedy, and for that reason, want.
Either the offers for top-1000 recruits has really concentrated in the last two years or the recruiting services are changing their ranking approach this year.
(a) It's already April
(b) Tony Balanganayi has 20 FBS offers, with 16 of those offers being from P4 schools
(c) He's ranked as the 21st (247), 22nd (On3), unranked (ESPN), and unranked (Rivals) in the State of Illinois
Tony B is being recruited as a DL but all of the services have him designated as an IOL. For the sake of the argument, let's compare that offer list to other State of Illinois IOLs that were ranked in the past few years:
- Anthony Birsa was 6th in Illinois (2023) with 16 offers, 7 P4 offers
- Paris Patterson was 9th in Illinois (2023) with 11 offers, 6 P4 offers
- Will Nolan was 5th in Illinois (2024) with 15 offers, 8 P4 offers
This isn't just a (a) Tony Balanganayi or (b) Illinois thing, as there are State of Illinois preps that are not going to Illinois that have lots of offers but are really rated poorly. Look at Gavin Mueller (TE - South Elgin). Illinois has three great prep tight ends this year but the fanbase isn't talking about him because all of the attention is on JC Anderson and Mack Sutter. Mueller has 22 FBS offers, with 17 being FBS offers and he's the 17th ranked recruit in State of Illinois.
Is this:
(a) An absolute banner year in in-state prospects?
(b) Are teams following each other like never before in offering recruits?
(c) Are offers being reported more consistently?

Do these kids start weight training when they're in grade school?
Interesting story, William Zabka spoke at Ralph Macchio’s Walk of Fame ceremony last year. The 14-year old in me could not believe Zabka was there….that’s how well he played the villain in KK1.View attachment 41425
he reminds me of this dude
What a jokeCollege football contract hold outs?? I hope Bret never recruits players like this.
So if a player gets injured or doesn’t produce does the school have the right to hold him out of practice? Two way street here. I think a zero tolerance policy should be a school’s initial position.College football contract hold outs?? I hope Bret never recruits players like this.
His mother, Becky Clayton, was a very good high school basketball player at Sullivan. Talented, worked hard, a physical player. I think Sullivan won a 1-A state title at Sullivan.
His dad also played football at SIU I believe. JC has very good bloodlinesHis mother, Becky Clayton, was a very good high school basketball player at Sullivan. Talented, worked hard, a physical player. I think Sullivan won a 1-A state title at Sullivan.
