I love the way Josh ran the bull but the rb room will be fine.

Earned=revenue, the NIL pool is a negotiated settlement not in effect and my issue is with the framing not the outcome.

The media cheerleading a millionaire coach taking "a stand" on behalf of a wealthy program against a former #2 overall player and top 10 Heisman favorite trying to double their yearly contract value...when that same coach had their yearly contract value doubled last year by that program seems oddly one sided.

This article is even one of the better ones since it at least acknowledges UT was the 1st to do a contract like his..

The thing is he didn’t earn a big raise. Look at his game log and tell me if he should have a 4 million price tag

Not good. He’s a really good running back
I agree but that just speaks to how deep the room is. I actually take it as a positive. Josh is graduating after this year. Is he a pro? Don't know. He wants to cash in if he can on a bag. It may be that he wants to cash in here a little more than he is now. We will be fine either way. I for one hope he comes back.

Just the fact that the first public NIL holdout guy's last name is "I am a leava" is just too perfect.

Author of the most famous run since Rocky Harvey. I'm sorry he's not finishing his career as an Illini.

Not to be too critical, but to be fair.....the O Line was the "author" of that run. We were sitting in the opposite corner end zone, and you could see that hole open up like a barn door. Fortunately Josh hit it and took off. If he would have been Rocky Harvey he probably would have scored. I love Josh and appreciate all he did for the Illini program...also wish he would have closed his career as an Illini. But our RB room is in great shape and we will be fine.

A soph QB in the SEC threw for 2600 yds with 19 TDs and 5 Ints and 350 with 3 TDs rushing...leading the team to 13th in PPG (2nd in the SEC) and a CFP birth.

That seems pretty good and based on the Heisman odds, Vegas was projecting him to improve.

I'm trying to remember with accuracy, but I'm pretty certain when Lovie was hired here, Urlacher was quoted as saying really nice things about Lovie and said when his kids get recruited, they will go play for Lovie or someone like him; not sure if it hurts us that Lovie was fired here.

On the flip side, I'm guessing Olin Kruetz has great things to say about our program and I'm guessing they talk!

Side note: no idea if the Urlacher kid is any good, but assuming he's decent, since he went to ND.
