I'm assuming these collectives all have 501(c)(3) status and the donations are thus tax write-offs.

Thanks for the info. Could we send some of that energy to MBB? Crazy how different it feels on that side.

Losing Bray stings. I've assumed the team is going to lose a couple guys that are expected rotation pieces because of a number crunch, better opportunities elsewhere, or other players progressing faster.

Our starting center is a senior. The end goal should be the nfl and we’ve done a great job with developing guys
He's a starting freshman AA at a p4 school and he's coming here to sit behind our senior started because he likes our development? I'd be ecstatic if that turned out to be true, I'm just having a hard time believing he wouldn't want to start wherever he goes. Would we offer him a guard spot this year and the keys at center next year?

Alex Bray was a recruit Illinois took a flyer on. His recruiting list reflects that outcome. Players like him will always get recruited over all the time. He would do better by going to a non power 4 conference.

Point taken, but Hill immediately tore his ACL.

Illinois being involved makes sense because he's good and you can never have enough offensive lineman. Those principles also apply to everyone else. I would be shocked if another program doesn't pay him a lot of money to be a plug-and-play starter.

Hill played in the first game and got hurt. At that point he wasn’t a starter
