Not that I give 2 sh*ts about this punk but I hope he is an absolute failure in life
The ending of this sentence really contradicts the beginning. Maybe pump the brakes a little.

I wish Bret would respond "I don't know who that is" next time he is asked about Taylor.

This is a character issue and not a maturity issue. If one is immature, they don't do this kind of stuff, only arrogant people do!
Shame on the parents who may have already known this (by the reaction of them not surprised when Illini was picked) and didn't advise him properly.

Ah, the classic "that's not who I am" type apology. Wrong, that's exactly who you are. If your gonna do it, own it.

you say that's not who you are , BUT THAT'S WHAT YOU DID !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!................Just STFU and learn to think before you embarrass your self with childish and immature actions again....Same goes for your shallow family members............

Have a good day.....................................................NOT !!!!!!!...............

It makes me crazy when people say, "that's not who I am". You said it, so that's EXACTLY who you are!

I saw it differently. I watched the video and focused on the mom's reaction. When he said that he was staying home and going to IL, she looks up and to her right with a puzzled sort of look (at least that's what it looked like to me) and it seemed genuine.

Obviously this was a huge mistake, but I'm buying that it was dreamed up by him - maybe with the input of some of his peers. Obviously a bad decision. I agree w/your prior post; we've made 16 y.o. kids celebrities and then we're surprised when they act like 16 y.o. kids. I'm not excusing it - just saying it shouldn't be all that unexpected.

I think you mean the new (internet) media financially rewards and therefore encourages this. This “shock” behavior gets likes and followers at that age group, as outrageous videos on tick tock or YouTube are what attract kids nowadays (says a a parent of three teenagers living through this crap).

Someone will give him the Dylan Rosiek treatment.

🙏 for posting that gem. Nebraska lost 36 yards in four plays IIRC on that final OT possession.

And Luke's blitzing unmolested to take down Raiola and end it was the chef's kiss

He picked Ne. That is his decision and think that is best for his future. But to do it the way he did by putting on the Illini hat and then throwing it like it was trash was a whole different level.
His Dad said we don't offer his major? What does Nebraska have that we don't?

His family put him in a no-win situation with this. You rarely see players who pull stunts like that go on to have successful college careers, and the reaction across social media was pretty unanimous, it wasn’t a good look.

I spent a couple of days at an event with some major Nebraska boosters, and based on our conversations about college sports, I’d bet a beach house they weren’t thrilled about him representing the university that way. My guess is the apology video only came out after someone at Nebraska stepped in and told him it needed to be addressed.
