I've never really heard this about Stanford's NIL budget. Even if it's true though, they've also always randomly gotten good players, because it's Stanford. Pre-NIL, no matter how bad their team was, it would not have been a surprise for them to pull a guy like Jack Janda, #811 recruit in his class. Sometimes really good football players are also kids who want to get a top notch degree too.
Once you've been to the campus there it's easy to understand why kids what to play there.
Stanford NIL is terrible just like there football team
