He's given us a lot of good info, but that info is always just a portrait of the landscape as it exists at the time he gives it. The more time passes, the more possibility arises that the landscape has changed. I'd be interested to know what his thoughts are, at this moment.

Edit to add that another insider has indicated things are indeed trending towards Ole Miss (for Anderson). Don't think the earlier info was wrong, just think the earlier info was earlier.

You know how well known his family is and how beloved they are. He will choose where he wants in front of all of MTZ regardless of his choice. Of course we hope that he goes Illinois so we can continue to support them like we are Brayden. But at the end of the day, they’ve done plenty of homework and choosing what they think is best for their family at this time. I hope people continue to support them regardless. We all know in this day and age nothing is ever over.

The optimistic side of me is thinking that maybe, despite all the talk of playing together, Anderson decided he'd rather not compete with Sutter for snaps, and this means we're getting Sutter.

The longtime Illinois fan side of me is thinking that, "of course we won't get either of them, as soon as we started thinking we'd get both it should have been obvious we'd get neither."

He posted like 5 or 6 images/gifs about how much he was enjoying the OU visit (I get he was on a visit).

Obviously we found out with Anderson the extra-curriculars barely account.

I'm seeing a lot of negativity in the last 24 hours about Sutter and Anderson from other places. Lets hope we land one.

Heard from someone in MTZ that mom thinks JC should go to an SEC school to help his NFL chances down the road and that dad prefers the Illini. Moms usually win these sort of things, but still hoping he picks the Illini. Either way, wishing the best for the young man and confident that the Illini staff will continue to stack strong classes in a way we haven't seen around here for a very long time.

Vala plays in a very competitive football conference in the west suburban silver. Games against teams York and LT that went deep in the 8A playoffs he had very solid games. He is enrolling early next spring and has a good chance of getting playing time by his sophomore season

This feels like the Luke Ford recruitment part two. He made a big deal of playing at Georgia and Illinois fans were hugely disappointed. Yet, a year later he enrolled at Illinois. And we discovered he wasn't as good as everyone thought. Did he even get a shot at the NFL? I feel that if both Sutter and Anderson snub the Illini, one of them will be back in Champaign within 2 years.

Sutter and Anderson are legit. You can see that. Each well above Luke, talent wise.

Or just maybe they have teamed up and decided to do the 'ole sneak-a-roo, smoke and mirrors, end-around, back into the loving arms of the beloved. That's plausible.

We will know on Thursday... Even then it's a long way to December... If I was Sutter or Anderson I would commit to Illinois... Then bleed them dry to flip me... But that is just me why not get all the hugs and all the money

Always gotta look at they underlying data with 247, as it is not a very well put together site. If you click on his profile he has hundreds of class of 2026 predictions (not 9) and is accurate 69% (N🧊) of the time. Still not a phenomenal hit rate, but better than 44%.
