ala Robert Newhouse, Dallas Cowboys in the 1970s-1980's
that dude was built like a truck
Based on the highlights, he's either not 5'9 or not 200+. Dude would be a borderline fire hydrant with those numbers.
Speaking as a 5'9" 200 lb dude (32" waist), you don't look like a fire hydrant with those dimensions. He could easily be that. Josh Ferguson was 5'10" 200 lbs

what is great is we seem to be getting a lot of the guys we want . 5 years ago , we would have 5-6 commits in early June , and most of the really good in state guys had no desire to come here .

times have changed

yep, we're not in Kansas anymore (duking it out with mid-tier MAC teams). God, this is great. and it's getting demonstrably better. unreal

And so quickly. I know it’s been four years since Lovie, but this is still so much more than I ever expected at this point…!!!

you're a patient and, I daresay, realistic fan. there were a lot of fans carping about not enough progress on the recruiting front not that long ago

Is it to assume that Barnett is out the door? Either way, Wheeler looks like a great add!

if Barnett's being honest with himself, the path to early playing time has far less resistance with us, than them. love our RB stable, but there's a hole for a bigger back, like Barnett. it's conceivable that he'll have an opportunity to get on the field as a true frosh

I'm 5'9 and 220 and not fat. I concur.

Didn't expect folks to compare themselves. Fire hydrant as a running back = good. Fire hydrant =/ fat. Also...

Go watch tape of Wheeler and Jeanty. They are not the same size (even when ignoring for tone). We're also missing the context of being 5'9 and playing D1 football is very different than being 5'9 and walking in public.

The whole point of my post was context for you. Your statement was that at 5'9" and 200 lbs the guy would be "borderline a fire hydrant". Clearly you don't know what 5'9" and 200 lbs looks like regardless of being D1 Football player or an old ex-personal trainer (like me) that still lifts regularly. So just trying to help you out. Also, adding 10 - 15 lbs of muscle is significant difference at 5'9", so no-one is comparing him to the top draft pick Ashton Jeanty. Moving on

I still expect us to land JC Anderson at the moment but Auburn is making it really tough….they are the team to watch here to upset us.
I think we do too but Ole Miss is one to watch out for. Family seemed to really enjoy the trip to Oxford.
