They got hyped up very early from what I remember. Peaking as a O-Lineman "early" in hs makes me think they'll just end up being slow footed. Give me the Joe Thomas type who grows into his body. What happened with Paris?

Is stuff like this the result of over inflated ratings due to the offers being picked up? Is it just some guys don't cut it at the next level?

I'm biased to former blue chip recruits who come from the state. Irrational as it may be. TSJ wasn't TSJ at Tech. Kylan certainly wasn't a shutout D/team leader at Arizona. (THESE ARE NOT 1 FOR 1 SWAPS WITH MILES CURRENT POSITION) Just my rationale..

He may very well be a guy who peaked in HS and never matured in the ways that everyone expected him to. I don't know his unique situation, though I believe everyone who has commented on foot speed, and inability to get on the field at UNC.

But what is it worth to take a flyer-on a former flyer? Y'all realize he comes from the best public school talent generator in our state? I would do everything in my power to gain the best reputation with East St Louis. If you can be known as the school that gets the most out of 314 talent? Invaluable

Lastly, I'm no former D1 coach, but I do understand what situations can help transform a young man who hasn't lived up to potential after leaving his home. Any place with ties to his former school, where he thrived. Or ties to family/coaches will ultimately be a forcing factor in helping get 100% out of him.

With former teammates and close ties to his home there's no ducking accountability. Could be what the kid needs. Just my .02

McVay got a lot of top offers when he was a freshman because he was massive. Thought out hs ranking dropped but he still finished as a top 200 prospect. I still can’t believe he was a take for Alabama.

Ran out of time to edit, but just a quick look at stats revealed that our TEs have 11 receptions. That is not all that much out of line with Oregon, Indiana, Georgia, or Iowa. Iowa has a few more, but point being maybe it is a bit of mystery why in state TEs aren't sticking around? I still say, shore up the line and start sending the TEs on a few more seam routes and that will help change the perception of low usage in our offense.
IL is on the upswing but they haven't been good enough long enough to be attractive to most blue chips.

IL has had one back to back winning season in 30 years and you have to get to the early 90s to get to 3 years above .500.

You're washing off the stink of 30+ years of awful football that these kids coaches and parents are aware of too.

They already co-op with GCMS for soccer (maybe more sports, but that's the one I know about). Not sure how you combine a bunny and a falcon
Flying Jackalopes! Have reference to the rabbit from Monty Python and Holy Grail

Team colors: black, red, orange, and maybe yellow
