He went to our high school and had not played QB since freshman B team. Was going to start senior year but the team recruited a QB who had a ride to Louisville. He got connected to a QB coach who referred him to North Texas to walk on. He go his first start in their bowl last year when the qb transferred and he ripped off a 70 yard run in addition to almost 400 yards passing. Good athlete (he played safety and punter) and he can run.
He’s very raw due to his lack of experience, but a super kid (I coached him in soccer). He got a lot of calls after the bowl game and was the first North Texas player to be given any meaningful NIL. Would love him to be an Illini!
