We’ve got better resources than we’ve ever had before … I won’t say too much more than this but Bret’s comments about using a certain jet weren’t by accident …

Our big donors are stepping up BIG time …
Since I have no earthly idea where we compare to other B1G teams...

Are we inching towards relevance in the B1G? Or moreso just crawling out of the cellar?

Understand we aren't likely anywhere near the Top 5 with the blue bloods but can we be top of the middle tier?

I say if you can get this kid get him some gaudy numbers fr.also during the off-season may want to look at some of the receivers in this game although I think our wr room should be solid but never hurts to kick the tires

I watched almost the full game. Concern is he doesn't have a strong arm. His WRs, especially his TE, are pretty good and Charlotte cannot tackle to save their lives. So much YAC.
I can’t evaluate football at all. Does he just have an average arm, or is it below average? Would he be best suited for a short passing game?

I did some digging into his PFF scores and it shows I'm being unfair. His deep throws are respectable. He was pressured a lot by Charlotte in the first 2.5 quarters of the game, which likely had an impact on how I viewed him taking deeper shots.

I agree. Plus, I think he's way overvalued at the moment. Lost in the glory of all the passing yards he threw were two really bad turnovers against a horrid Charlotte defense. We'll find our QB. It'll be someone much more sensibly priced than this guy.
You’re severely underestimating his upside. He’s a redshirt freshman who started 6th on the depth chart as a walk on. Was backup by the end of his first year before starting in the bowl game and going for 400 yards. He did not start a varsity game in high school, and even then did not start since freshman B team. He was safety and punter. His ninth COMBINED high school and collegiate start he threw for 600 yards. He’s a hard worker, which is why he is where he is, and no reason to assume he won’t keep growing. He was found by one of those QB coaches - I forgot the name - who said before he blew up that he’s an NFL player.
