Kye Weinzierl is another name as an under the radar kid that could blossom. Played at Geneseo HS, All-State, heck of a wrestler and baseball player as well. Pure athlete that could play both sides of the ball, but I see him in a Matt Bailey type of roll. We had him for a visit earlier this year.

Another kid that is a '27 from 8-man is Evan Flanigan from Amboy. Kid is an absolute monster at TE/DE.

He would likely be the highest OL recruit in Bret's tenure, which I still find odd given his reputation with OL that he hasn't been able to recruit better at that position. Andrew Dennis was a highly ranked OL recruit but transferred to MSU right away when they hired a new coach. Let's hope Micah comes on board and starts a trend for the OL
If you've followed Brets recruiting at Wisconsin it was similar type guys we're getting now. Never the 5 stars.

Correct- but he turned them into NFL lineman! Which you would think would then lead to better recruits and so on. For whatever reason we haven't turned our 3 star lineman into NFL players here. Our best OL have been transfers

Jr, Sr, Grad Transfers who have been in a college system, strength program and nutrition> Fr and Soph's

I get what you are saying but if the portal was a thing back then I'd venture to guess a lot of his and other teams best OL would be transfers as well.

Could this maybe be Victor Singleton that flipped from us to T A&M?!

As much as I'd like it to be Singleton, I'm guessing the "backflip" is Javari Barnett, the RB from Tampa who is no slouch himself.

That's my assumption. Would be sweet to re-steal someone from Alabama.

I'm assuming the RB room could look a lot different next year, or at least the snap distribution. Two years in a row of disappointing results.

I remember last season there was talk about us turning down very good running backs (I think Bret said it himself). I'd envision not the case this time around.
JB's hudl tape is some of my favorite ive watched from the RBs they have recruited in the Bert tenure.

He could very well get carries as next year goes on. Would be a huge flip.

Not the only Bama commit they’re working on flipping either … 👀

They’re after a couple more … CIP …

As well as a certain WR who’s position coach (and the main reason he chose Bama) just took the Oregon State job …

Would we say Smith, Barnett , Cabell, and Anderson are the most likely flips? Seems there was some buzz on Anderson after kiffin left, but quiet now

As an aside, as an Indy guy, seeing JJ Finch going to Bama next year makes me feel sooo old.
