I think you are massively over estimating Petty's impact at the P5 level as a transfer... most likely he goes to a G5 to simply compete for a job.
He was 4th on the depth chart behind true freshman Carson Boyd. He aint gonna make a huge dent.
I really don’t see why someone would want to play for Kiffin. Sure, if he’s giving you the biggest bag of cash, I can understand. But comparable NIL deal, I’d looking elsewhere. Playing for a coach you can’t trust would be very difficult. I don’t blame Kiffin for going to LSU (gives me a new team to hate), but sucks for the players who bought into Ole Miss and Kiffin just to be “told” by the latter, “oh, never mind.”
