They had better not. With Altmyer leaving, it needs to be a wide open competition all spring and summer long. We have nobody remotely ready to claim that job. Heck, our QB still might be on the roster yet. That position is going to be the question looming over the program until August 2026.

I figured that was going to be part of the process, which is why I said our QB might not even be in the program yet. Sounds like that's a fact. Will be interesting to see how far we're willing to go to truly solidify the position from day 1. It does seem like we've made a significant effort to bring in high profile preps, especially in 2027.
Solving the QB situation is always a tough one for Any program.
Nah, I think everyone "gets it", but they want an answer now because it is going to be the issue that clouds the program all spring and summer long. Whoever the transfer is, isn't going to be handed the keys to the car. We have some highly thought of prep recruits, plus the kid from NIU that came over prior to last year.
Just because we get a transfer, it doesn't mean much.
The poster(s) want a resolution now and it's not feasible. It won't be feasible in July. My guess is we won't name a starter until two weeks before the opener. Absolutely critical time right now.
