Clemson sucks
Excellent point. And having sent 3 sons to Clemson starting in 2011 while securing family season tickets from 2011 thru 2023, (and having attended two Clemson Natty's myself --- one WIN; one LOSS), I thought maybe I could echo your thought with this further proof. Hoping the ILLINI can duplicate this type of sustained suckiness!
  • 2011: 10-3 (Orange Bowl Loss)
  • 2012: 11-2 (Chick-fil-A Win)
  • 2013: 11-2 (Orange Bowl Win)
  • 2014: 10-3 (Russell Athletic Bowl Win)
  • 2015: 14-1 (National Championship Appearance, lost to Alabama)
  • 2016: 14-1 (National Champions)
  • 2017: 12-2 (CFP Semifinalists)
  • 2018: 15-0 (National Champions)
  • 2019: 14-1 (Lost National Championship Game)
  • 2020: 10-2 (CFP Semifinalists, Sugar Bowl)
  • 2021: 10-3 (Cheez-It Bowl Win, 6th straight CFP appearance)
  • 2022: 11-3 (ACC Champions, Orange Bowl loss)
  • 2023: 9-4 (Tigers won Gator Bowl)
  • 2024: 10-4 (Lost CFP first round)
  • 2025: (Playing Penn State in the Pinstripe Bowl)

Clemson's rise under Swinney saw them become a perennial powerhouse, securing multiple national titles and CFP appearances, making them one of college football's elite programs of the 2010s and early 2020s.

You spent a lot of time on a mostly tongue in cheek comment....I am very aware of Clemson's success under Dabo.

He said Clemson sucks, not Clemson sucked. Pre-NIL Dabo was a beast. NIL Dabo is going to struggle to consistently get to the Pinstripe Bowl.

fans expecting news about our top QB targets are gonna get discouraged. Coach B is going to keep that under wraps, to the extent he can.

I'm sure we're very active behind the scenes and we've winnowed it down to a short list. guessing the public part of our QB dance is going to be brief

Yes — I interpreted your comment perfectly.

My Apologies. I was was also being tongue-in-cheek. I should know by now —- sarcasm doesn’t translate well in writing!

And I don’t expect to get any warm weather Clemson guys transferring to Champaign.
