it's a zero sum game: we gotta have a ceiling for everyone. but, you're right, Marshall's would be very, very high (back up the truck level)

with Gabe coming off the books, we should be able to field a competitive offer

Out of control? We had two pages of people demanding answers on who the QB is for next year. Just throwing out names that are in the portal and see if fans have any interest, and how do we know what coaching staff is looking at? We have signed several players that don't have a connection to the program in some way. I don't think that means anything at all.

I mean, you do you, but those kinds of discussions come and go. This is a message board, that's kind of the point. And there's been plenty of playful dunking on those QB questions too, which has been kind of fun.

At the end of the day, you do you, but in recent transfer portal cycles there have been over 2k portal entrants from the FBS. Are you planning on posting all of them to this board? Not for me to decide if that's helpful content or not, but just wondering if that's your plan, or if there's any kind of filtering being applied here, so I can decide how much or how little attention to pay to these posts.

Reading between the lines, this doesn't seem to be the case that we have a shortlist and are evaluating those few candidates.
I have to believe that we have a strong (95%?) idea who this transfer is. If so, he's on a team playing in a bowl or a championship
series or we haven't finalized the "details". (and the portal isn't open yet)

I am most curious about what will happen at QB with Luke moving on. I would assume a transfer but it is going to be interesting and likely the most impactful & important role to fill.

just for reference took a snapshot of Michigan recruiting ranking, be interesting how it finishes at this point...see we had offers out to a few (like there top recruit Carter Meadows), but I don't see any that we seemed in serious contention

Fraumann might be the poster child of the type of recruit rankings despised by non-blue bloods. He has mostly MAC offers during the spring and summer before his senior year, ultimately committing to the best MAC offer (Miami OH). No one offers him after mid-March 2025. So either bigger programs feel he's very locked into Miami and cannot be swayed to come to a bigger program (unlikely) or teams are not convinced he's worthy of an offer. Then he has one team come in and offer, but that team is Michigan. Poof. He goes from being ranked ~1100th by 247 to ~250th.

Obviously I’m not saying play him 10 million to come here lol but we have a lot of money coming off the books and a huge need at his position
