Hold on tight! Lol. Back the Brinks truck up for him. I hope he doesn’t change his mind about being a veterinarian 😂

We want these accolades! Even if it means it's going to be endlessly stressful. These are the perfect situations to anchor this guy to one of your top donors and convince Gies/Khan that we need to match whatever the price. Houston has the top QB recruit this year doing something similar.

@Dan can we also add a thread for random transfers that have no link whatsoever to our program or our state?
I enjoy the posts about different players entering the portal and learning more about them when posted here, even if they aren't targeted by Illinois.

I do not enjoy reading the posts complaining about those posts.

The Portal is a reality now that all teams have to deal with.

Don't Fear the Portal.

We will lose some players we want to keep, but Couch B has a knack for pulling in nice Portal additions to fill specific needs.

We will be just fine in the end.

I'm looking forward to an 8+ win season for Illini Football next year. Do I want better, . . . well sure. But consistency is the key. We will likely have a painful "no way we should have lost that game" experience or two. But if we can also get a few "can't believe we could beat that team" wins, it is going to be another enjoyable season.

I-L-L . . . I-N-I to all for 2026!

For a QB, I think we need to take the same approach we did with Altmyer. Take a backup that's not seeing the field, but was a big time recruit. I think the guys that have performed at a high level against lower competition either will go for too much money, or probably aren't really that good.

I'd target Kienholz from OSU or Minchey from Notre Dame.

I appreciate our insiders, not only for your information, but also for not turning around and "liking" every single QB or recruit posted after sharing the information, just for entertainment purposes :) Wait, we are getting 7 new QB'S ?

So, is that the case? Or just lack of development? Maybe poor recruitment? Curious about the narrative

If I was a betting man … I think it will be one of Minchey, Kienholz or Houser …
