I like the idea of a salary cap in theory, but if you cap it then you put things right to paying players under the table and then you have to hope that the NCAA will monitor it equally and unbiased and we know that will never happen. On top of that, I just don't know how much power the NCAA has right now.agree
it’s the unlimited transfer that bugs most of us , imo
and there needs to be a salary cap that is enforced & agreed to by EVERYONE thst matters . otherwise , 75% of the playoff teams will repeat all the time , with only 25% freash faces
maybe im being too simplistic but its been interesting to see the playing field leveled since NIL and transfer rules changed....its almost like certain teams/conference(SEC) initially had an unfair and unspoken advantage that is disappearing year by yearI'm not going to fight you on the sentiment, because I get the frustration.
My contention is that folks are incredibly naive if you think this was not happening for many athletes before NIL. There are hundreds of stories out there now about athletes getting offered big money under the table going back decades. You need to realize that, unless you are in your 80's, you have been rooting for a system that was rotten forever.
But now we may have a shaky kicking situation lolMy speculation here* but I’m sure a playoff team with a shaky kicking situation is willing to pay more to sure that up than we are.
