You’re right, but I don’t have to like it nor do I have to follow it. At some point it will be goodbye college sports. And if it truly turns into minor league pro sports, it die shortly thereafter as we know it.

Who has a bigger NIL budget for next year - IU or UI

Thanks for the update. And yeah, losing both Olano and Duley before they became upperclassman is indeed really frustrating. While it makes sense as you said, really hurts to lose what basically amounts to a 5star kicker/punter tandem out of high school. Yeah you can get replacements but it's a likely downgrade.

That said we have a ton of holes to fill and a budget, so if Olano doesn't fit in the budget with what he's being offered, not much we can do.

My son would be honored! ILL

maybe

but in today’s NFL, you gotta make them fron 50-65 as well , indoors and with the wing outside

Note: The "SEC school" referred to sounds like Arkansas.

Yeah, and what about Indiana? Just reinforces your point.

Houser was one of the first QB's i thought of a week or so a go. If he is the one, it just feels like the right fit for Illinois. The Illini weren't going to throw around insane money one of the top QB's. Houser was in that next tier that i thought they would go after.

if staff is as high on Boyd as it seems, that's a huge factor too (because he'll probably bolt if we bring in a multi-year QB). I know it's mostly all about right now, but keeping the heir apparent content is important. a 1 year bridge seems perfect. Houser has a ton of experience. great fit for us

some here are impatient, but letting our internal transfers announce allows Illinois to know how much money is available and positions of need prior to making acquisitions?
