I'm not sold on Mac Resetich as a starting safety.
I'd roll with one of these FBS transfers over him, personally.
He's got all the physical gifts but it seems like his instincts just aren't there. His pursuit angles, tackling, coverage-all subpar.

I think the grandfather clause is still in play. I'm not sure we will ever get an accurate count from Illinois on how many they can actually have on the roster but it will be more than 105.
Key Aspects of the Grandfather Clause:
- Who's Covered: Current athletes and incoming freshmen for the 2025-26 year who would otherwise be cut by the new limits.
- What it Does: Allows these players to remain on the roster (or transfer) without counting against the new caps (like the 105-player limit) for their remaining eligibility.
Better yet, will we even sign a transfer QB?

My worry about Houser is how he stacked up against P4 competition. 7 touchdowns and 9 picks. 56% completion. Understanding that his weapons and line were probably overmatched.
