Eli certainly got used to things quickly- he couldn’t crack the starting lineup for Bemiji State last year (literally only started one game) - we took a shot with him and he played well when he got the opportunity and now he gets an agent and is in the transfer portal because he wants more money!

Yeah they are. Will say that the state of NC has some really good football at the lower levels. ECU, App state, and in South Carolina coastal has been pretty good. At the FCS level North Carolina has had some good players as well. It’s a sneaky good state for Hs football recruiting too.

Looking at film, he just makes plays and would work well with Bailey is he returns. Get the corner Sykes from Western Carolina and the DB room just got a hell of a lot better
Bret talked to each player after the season. Gave them the future plans. It sound to me that some do not fit next year and others are looking for money. Bret will fill with players that will fit next year. Bret understands the portal and will use every opportunity to make this team better. Plus we have several redshirts that will start of play significant minutes.

With a solid foundation at QB, hopefully that will open the doors for some solid WR transfers and give us a window of opportunity to nail this portal season.
There’s plenty of room for improvement but I can see a high ceiling. The staff is proving they are pretty good at roster construction and continue to follow the blueprint for success.
