Can a Loyalty subscriber get a feed that only has who’s coming, who’s going and insiders posts! I’m getting wore out with “this, that and thou happens”!

He could. Which begs the question, why did Illinois recruit him in the first place? I doubt he was a blocking machine at Murray State. Like the Dunlap kid, he's not going to college to be a 270 pound blocking TE.He's perfect for the Big XII. Could see Rusk having 40+ catches next season.

Well everyone was dreaming on that portal addition. Then reality set in. At least Luke was happy with the off the field stuff. Why not roll the dice on a kid that dreamed of playing here. I think we could’ve used him more but our te’s were huge for our run blocking
Ole Miss transfers have worked out pretty well here...
So let me get this straight:
A G5 transfer does not move the needle because those nice G5 stats may not translate. But we're going to say Rusk gets a pass on his lackluster contribution at Illinois because of his FCS production?
Also the comparison doesn't hold up under further review. For Doiran Thomas and Brody Foley, you're talking about a single season of production. For Rusk you're adding up two years, one of which was in the FCS. And if you just look at this past, most recent season, every single guy you listed was more productive than Rusk, and most of them have two+ years of eligibility where Rusk only has one. And to flip on it's head the idea that these rankings are based on production, the two guys on your list that are ranked higher than Rusk are the two that have the least career production (Welcing and Lyons).
All this talk about the predictive value of the rankings made me curious about another way of looking at it, so I compared the transfer portal team ratings for the SEC and Big Ten for 2025. The middle of the pack team for the SEC was South Carolina, with a score of 46.18. That would have been good for #4 in the Big Ten behind only Oregon, Nebraska, and Wisconsin. The SEC had 2 teams that scored better than the B1G's #1, and another 4 teams that would have slotted in before the B1G's #2. Compare the SEC vs the ACC or the Big12, you get similar results. If you put a lot of stock in those rankings, you'd think the SEC would dominate. But they didn't. In fact, whether in the bowl games or the playoffs, the SEC was clearly the weakest performer of the P4 conferences.
Show them the mock up of our new scoreboard with their picture on it!Hey, more twins to go after.
I was told on here that that transfer rankings are based off of production not potential. If that was true Rusk definitely wouldn’t be a 4 star.

Cole Rusk career stats 58 catches, 724 yards, 7 TD's. He had a big year at Murray State before coming here. There are very few TE's in the portal with that level of production and his amount of games played. He is on par with other 4 star TE's production wise.
Bowick has 85 catches, 1,357 yards, and 16 TD's in his career. I believe he has the most TDs of any WR in the portal that played for a D1 school last season. They are highly productive when you actually look at their career stats (which is what the models rely on).
To me? Not really. For the portal ranking (try keeping up) that’s how they rank players. But I get it. You want to just be snarky lol. Have at it man.i thought G5 stats dont count?
