We had servicable the last 2 years.
To be fair that's what we heard last year and it turned out to be the weakest link of the defense imo. Although that was probably more on the coaching and not the players so much
I expect to see better pass coverage and im really hoping DBs are not continuously playing 10-15 yards off.
I hope there's more blitzing and more pressure, but Im not sure the DL will be improved. The DL wasnt that good last year and may take a step back, but with X, Bailey, and juice returning I think the defense can be middle of the road and be good enough to get to 8 wins

To be fair, there is a lot defensive flux in the NFL right with once having double digit potential DC openings and it has trickled down to college. We won't have an idea about any candidates if there is any until most of the NFL jobs are filled.

I’m tattling on you and the prior 6 posters! Don’t you know questioning our D-Line means you’re saying “the sky is falling” and you will be shamed because we’ve won an unprecedented 19 games in 2 years?
As a prior poster said, our D-Line is going to be … just … fine.
So are you saying we will be really good next year, or will it be status quo, which in my opinion has not been great?

Secondary = barring injury, a lot better
DLine = not better
All things considered, I’ll trust it to be at minimum serviceable.

In fact, your viewpoint on the D-Line appears to be the majority opinion on the board. Conversely, a bunch of you are shaming a guy for saying the D-Line is going to be "fine." Not "great." Not "good." Fine.
most of us were expecting a few things this carousel and portal season that we could point to and count on as helping the D get better in 2026
we might be better , but there is really nothing thats been done that we can say will do that.
I guess we are just hoping for good luck.
