Folks, I know Dan opened a new recruiting thread. Before we get more news, I just want to say I have been an avid Illini fan since we took an a** whipping from Northwestern on the final day of the 1966 season. Little did I know, the worst was yet to come.
The information flow in the recruiting chats is just tremendous. Any Illini fan that doesn't know exactly where we stand (unfortunately not where we want to be) for 2027 simply hasn't read what you all post.

losing Brown to Minoz, losing Brooks to injury, losing Theis to Iowa...and now awaiting an even bigger blow
WRT recruiting losses, we're in a far better place than when BB took over. but we have a long way to go to get to where we want to be

Curious about what is keeping BB from reeling in offensive line classes like Martin O'Donnell's class of OL recruits under Ron Turner. Thought that would be a regular thing.
Probably the same thing that keeps them from developing as we'd expect.
Thanks for the response! Agreed we could be doing better but really happy with where are since BB took over.
We won the Citrus and Music City Bowls in back to back years. The Bears beat the Packers twice in heartbreaking fashion, including the playoffs. We are currently celebrating a F4. It's a lot easier to stomach recruiting misses living in these times.

Illini fan in The Villages Fl too... '70 grad... struggled through sooo many bad years/coaches... love these BB years. I feel he's the best, most rounded coach (pun) in all my years. Loved Mike White. Found out that Mackovic was hated by his players, and then he fled the scene. The rest all had fatal flaws....
We are in such a halo period for FB , MBB ,WBB, track, golf! Great coaching in all areas.
Any reports from spring football yet? (who's sitting out, who is looking good going into drills etc)
