Not sure if anyone has posted this, but it sounds like we are going to lose Kamden Lopati to Michigan

What pisses me off about this is that he is clearly going to be the backup behind some upper upperclassman for at least a year or two. So he could potentially be the starter here day 1 but he will end up being the backup there, and may end up transferring somewhere else before he starts a game for Michigan. Boo.

Everyone gave up on Kamden Lopati months ago... No love us or them mentality... Can't blame a kid 27 been a bit of a dumpster fire... We didn't get Jack Brown commits haven't necessarily been rolling in... Clear the books thanks for the thought... See you in 29 when you portal

Surely they're selling him on being Bryce Underwood's successor after one redshirt year.

I'd bet at least the porch, maybe the guest bedroom of my beach house against Underwood's glorious three-year ascent to the NFL Draft in a successful and stable Whittingham administration.

Great eval by our staff to identify Lopati, but at the end of the day, multi-year HS recruitments just don't make a ton of sense in the new college sports.

I would have to imagine the staff has been aware of this and has been reaching out to other prospects behind the scenes. Just wonder what the rationale is for committing so early if you are going to entertain other offers

I saw ND for Lopati a week or two ago. I guess Michigan has more $.
Michigan has a Mormon coach now . That might be one reason he’s considering it .

I want him here , but the odds of any true frosh or true soph starting at QB is just so remote , it’s hard to get all that excited about it. I mean Arch was the second coming of his uncles & gramps , and he couldn’t get on the field .

It’s just not how CFB is done anymore . everyone gets a guy thru the portal for 1, or 2 years max , now

It’s not surprising because when was the last time we played a QB that we recruited out of HS? Rivers? We have been portalling QBs over the past several years. I am surprised he even committed to us to begin with.

Michael Clayton commit followed by WR.... Lopati committed recruiting seemed to dry up.... Kid tried to get Jake Brown for us didn't happen
