I remember watching Brent in h.s. He was a monster. If that's verified 4.5 then for sure. Would add to the versatile and athletic athletes they've been getting. I'm going to watch the tape but if those are verified and he has even solid tape (Which I'd expect with this Illini offer now), I expect a lot of traffic soon.
Asked earlier but would be the first from that school since Josh Brent and HooMan. Both were NFL players and with those measurable and the ability to develop players from this staff, the sky is the limit.
If he’s going to be a top 75 kid in his class, he’s not coming, they won’t have the money to pay him.the Cahokia kid we just offered:
sounds like he's pretty good

Exactly ! The top schools dont recruit anymore, they simply complete transactions with practically unlimited bank accounts . Then we have to listen to their BS : " its all about the kids "If he’s going to be a top 75 kid in his class, he’s not coming, they won’t have the money to pay him.
Hankins was the highest rated of the class at 159.I disagree. We paid Hankins, Rankin and Eberhart a lot. I think we will pay if the recruit can come in and play as a freshman.
sadly , lots of truth to that unless things substantially change . i’m not holding my breathExactly ! The top schools dont recruit anymore, they simply complete transactions with practically unlimited bank accounts . Then we have to listen to their BS : " its all about the kids "

If a cap gets put in that lets the cheaters cheat. There was always a cap before NIL and the cheaters cheated.Realistically that’s how it’s always been. It’s just out in the open now. Hopefully some sort of a cap gets put in
Some sort of enforceable cap would be nice, but I think the usual cheaters with the means will go back to cheatingRealistically that’s how it’s always been. It’s just out in the open now. Hopefully some sort of a cap gets put in

I don’t see a cap happeningRealistically that’s how it’s always been. It’s just out in the open now. Hopefully some sort of a cap gets put in
There will be no need to pay millions under the table. They will pay all that they are allowed legally, then a little more under the table. Boom! Top ranked recruiting class. Blueblood, networks want their games. NCAA will let it slide.People will always try to cheat but it’ll be hard to pay millions under the table.
Nothing like replying to your own post. I also remember watching Hooman in h.s. He was a beast.I remember watching Brent in h.s. He was a monster.

Remember that time. Zook was on a run. Brent was highly recruited but still a tad underrated. Hooman was off the radar underrated. Two NFL players from the same HS (In-state). That was a good time then if you followed the Illini.Nothing like replying to your own post. I also remember watching Hooman in h.s. He was a beast.
