It's a numbers game. There were probably 250-300 recruits that were offered in the 2027 class. Are you going to continue communication with all of them? They are likely going to make similar number of offers to 2028 recruits and you are actively recruiting them now, plus probably another ~100 guys you are prioritizing in 2029. This is while also building a list of >200 potential transfers for this winter. The '27 class recruits that are committed elsewhere are the lowest likelihood of flipping (i.e., return on investment) and every minute spent on them is one less on '28 and '29 and transfers. This is partially why I'm interested in who are the names they are still so interested in '27 that they are willing to risk a low chance and are still willing to commit the time/effort to actively recruit.

with the
-money these coaches are being paid
-the office staff of people to help manage it
- the new technology available to make it simple

it’s not that difficult of a task in my opinion

is it easy ? no
is it next to impossible? not at all

just about unlimited people can recruit now . I would think each coach could easily manage a list of 15-20 guys to stay in touch with

Don’t forget about AI. Probably able to automatically create messages about “congrats on your great game Friday against X. Nice job running for x yards” and send out automatically.

of course - see my point about new technology available to make it simple

it’s 100x easier today than 25 years ago
