Those shoulder stripes.....yikes, man.

And I know I harp on the font of our numbers like a borderline crazy person, but here's another example of why that matters. That's an objectively very nice and clean modern numeral font, but it looks entirely out of place on a Nebraska football jersey, an item that should (and mostly did) look like it was pulled directly out of a metal locker in 1974.

They also did the incomplete pants stripe, something so cutting edge you might remember it from our jerseys a decade-plus ago.

A true Frankenstein effort. Will be yet another reason for Husker fans to be irate as they win 7 games.

To be fair to Adidas (even though I would be extremely unhappy if we signed with them), "redesigning" Nebraska football uniforms seems like an effort of futility that everyone but Nebraska knows is pointless. How much could they really do with red, white, and "traditional elements" that amounts to a helmet with the plainest capital N in the history of English font? A Frankenstein effort probably got them as far as they can go. We should all be happy that we're not Nebraska fans...for any number of reasons ;) 😁

Yeah, Nebraska should be classic, not trendy. That design could work for San Diego state.

I don’t know how you screw up a Nebraska football uniform, but Adidas did it.

I could have seen this for a ā€œnouveau richeā€ program like Indiana, but doing this for Nebraska just feels wrong.

I get they're totally different sports, but I am surprised Adidas remains THIS awful at college football (and college basketball) uniforms when I routinely like their soccer uniform designs better than what Nike puts out. Again, I get it's apples to oranges, but ... it's not like they have ZERO taste, haha. I mean, we are not talking 5/10 "meh" for Adidas when it comes to college sports uniforms ... they routinely put out literal trash.

With you on the font, though my first thought was not clean & modern, it was 'preschool Sesame Street'.
