long way to go but I would love to see AdC get an individual win, I just want his confidence sky high heading into the championships. He is on a heater right now.
Individual winner gets spot next year in Valspar PGA Tour event.

Golf stat keeps screwing up the score entries but if what they have is correct illinois lost this tournament on 7 and 8. 2 really bad holes there across all 3 days. But still a great performance from the team if they get too 2-3 without hunt

Pretty good tournament with no Hunt 2nd and Florida was insane. Matthis struggled a little but ADDC was very good and Tommy and Jackson were solid. Ryan had a great final round good to see him get experience for next year. Hope hunt is back soon we need him.

another great effort by the boys in a very strong tourney. No shame at all losing to Florida, who have battle a handful of times this year. They are a mirror of us, with a strong top and serious depth. They are the only team with 3 players in the PGA U top 20. Field was deep and we hung without one of our top 5 in the mix. AdC very strong again but Biondi got him on the last day, two of the best in college golf right there and don't be surprised if they both stick on the tour.

So, did anybody find out why Hunt missed out on the trip?

Hunt is back today in this event. Ryan playing individually so pretty good. Slow start for Matthis but wow that par 5 is so long. Not entirely sure why Hunt missed the trip but I think I know. It wasn't injury related or breaking rules and stuff. Something related to why RJ missed that Rutgers game earlier this year, or a famous AI quote about practice.

hmmm, don't like to hear that. AI's quote about practice doesn't apply to golf whatsoever. In golf we ARE talking about practice.

Jackson's 62 gotta be close to a course record. No answer at Old Hawthorne an hour ago; can't find info online.

No matter. Settle down, Jackson, have good eats and a good night's sleep. Restaya Illini, too. More of same tomorrow. My best wishes to youz guys.

P.S. Beat miznoz on its home course.

Jackson is starting out where he left out. Whats the record for the lowest 3 rounds total in program history?

According to Illini website:

Lowest 54 hole team score: 807, 2013 MacDonald Cup

Lowest 54 hole individual score: 197, Brian Campbell, 2013 MacDonald Cup

Jerry Gi held the lowest individual 18 hole record with a 63 in 2019.

For complete records go to Fighting Illini Golf website, click resources, then click record book. Great info.

Not so incidentally, Illini and Brian Campbell finished second to Alabama at the 2013 NCAA championship. (Guy by the name of John Rahm tied for second in the individual competition, according to wiki)

Sad news to report:

Jackson did not set the Old Hawthorne course record with that 62, according to Old Hawthorne pro shop guy named Kevin.

Record of 61 was set before this tournament by some guy named D.J. Springer of the Missouri Tigers who is competing now. Boo! Yet another reason for me to dislike Mizzou. All in good fun.

Go Illini!
