Field is not top shelf, a couple top 50 teams in UNCG and Notre Dame, and then there is Texas. This is similar to the Hal Williams which was basically only us and LSU for the title. But again this is golf and many of these teams from 50-100 range can put it together. Texas makes this much more of a challenge. lets go boys.

we are having are second bad 2nd round in a row, disappointing.

very strange tourney so far, some really bad 9s out there that are just undercutting the performances. 2 days in a row Max with a 40 on the front and fights hard to get it back, 2nd round still finished at +1 which is not ideal. Jackson collapsing down the stretch was out of nowhere, +3 on his final 4 holes and ended up not even counting on the day. Timmy with a 41 on the back, just weird big numbers, 4 nines of 40 or more.

I think to be fair that was our floor in the 2nd round, gonna need one of those everybody clicks days.

Coach Small has a well-deserved job for life. He probably has the team out running sprints right now between holes. I'm sure he will get their attention somehow.

Illini at Oregon Duck Invitational Monday and Tuesday. Golfstat coverage. Illinois is highest-ranked team in the field, I think, tied No.20, according to coaches' poll. Oregon No.24. Oklahoma State is not in the top 25. Strange for that program.

Sorry to interrupt during March Madness. Thought you secretly wanted to know.

I guess I'm spoiled. So much success during the last 12, 13 years or so. But I don't want enemy BIG golf teams getting highfalutin ideas they will win BIG golf championship any time soon.

I can't believe I used the word "highfalutin". By cracky! Consarn it all! Goldurnit. Beats using f-bombs. It's Lent, after all.
