He seems to almost always set the lineup based on how they finished the last event. Doubt it was anything more than that. More about the other 4 guys playing great at regionals. Buchanan had a couple of meh rounds. They definitely need him to contribute that’s for sure. Long ways to go. Hope fully 6 more opportunities.
They just were listed in the order of where they finished at regionals.

Was looking at the course stats a little bit.
Of the easiest 11 holes, eight of them are on the front 9 and only 3 on the back. Of course that leaves the toughest 7 as 1 front 9 hole (#7, a 521 yd par 4) and 6 holes from the back 9.

Illinois starts on the back today. Yea 10/11 aren’t bad. 18 is easy. 12-17 is a brutal stretch.
Besides TX and one guy on UNC scores seem to be pretty good so far today. Maybe another day of playing the course? Better conditions? Better pin locations?
Need to make birdies on 10 and 11 guys the back 9 only gets harder after that. Although maybe it’ll play better today

Nah. It's in the order of our tee times (Golfer 5 thru Golfer 1). Jackson went off first.
And we're +5 so far on holes #12 thru #17. Not even half done with the tough ones on the back.
Yea I meant that mike small decided that’s how he’d do the tee times I guess. Since the tee times are exactly the placings they finished at regionals.
Yep but we’re in the toughest stretch. If we can make it past 17 at like 2-3 over I’ll be happy and then hopefully light up 18/the front 9. Look at the teams who went off with us Arizona and Florida who are doing worse. Just weather it and then come out swinging on the easier holes soon
Still 1 more round before they go to top 15 and then 1 more round after. If a team can get hot you never know.

Appears we can just about call it "Mission Accomplished" at the turn.
We're +2 as a team and just three holes remaining on the back 9. Plus, 18 looks to be birdie-able.

Of the teams ahead of us in the standings, only AZ also started on the back 9. Everyone else still has to play it.

Yep Jackson’s bogey on 18 and goeckes double are the 2 holes you want back. But besides that great play. Now we head to the front while most of the teams up top with us head to the back. Unc is already showing how hard it is. FSU might be leading by end of the day they had a good back 9

Illini now +1 on the day and sit in third overall.
GTs best player who played well yesterday is out today with back issues (dude is super tall and I think it’s a reoccurring thing credit to them for playing well today with a sub in. Their 2nd best guy is on a heater. And Virginia wow they’re tearing the course up. It’s wild how many teams have brothers on the team. I think ASU (not here) Virginia, UNC, and a few others all have brothers together.
if this holds very impressive performance for Illini since no one has caught fire and with how much talent they have you expect a few guys will. Most of the other teams in the top have had guys put down really low rounds. Illinois has been consistent and even keeled.
College golf is so fun. Follow Robert for more details. Max going bogey birdie on 1/2 is insane if you look at where he’s at for both holes and the shots/putts he hit.
